Swimming Meet Slated Saturday At Local Pool

Swimmers and divers from Los Banos, Dos Palos, Gustine and Newman will be poised at 1:30 p.m. for the starting gun the signals the start of events in the West Side Invitational Swimming and Diving Meet at the Community Pool Saturday afternoon.

They will be out to win a perpetual trophy donated by the Los Banos Rotary Club, plus a host of medals for first place winners, and ribbons for those who place second and third.

The meet is open to the public. Gustine and Newman will combine their swimmers and divers to form a team which will be pitted against a team formed of youths from Los Banos and Dos Palos.
